About ICGS

The International Center for Graduate Studies (ICGS)

The International Center for Graduate Studies (ICGS) at the University of Hamburg was established to foster excellent international education, research and training and to develop related service concepts. In close cooperation with the University's departments and institutes as well as with select research institutions ICGS offers study and training programs for graduate students, young professionals and executives from all over the world.

ICGS provides its students with a large variety of facilities: intensive counselling and tutoring in all program areas, career service, accommodation and formalities services. Institutional partners within the University or within the context of internationally oriented research institutions benefit from ICGS' research and science related services, especially in the areas of project development, program management, program marketing and international recruitment.

ICGS is a non-profit limited liability company and subsidiary of the University of Hamburg. The renowned scientists from various departments and research institutions at the University of Hamburg who serve as ICGS' program directors are responsible for the academic quality of the programs at the graduate level as well as at the executive level. ICGS is advised and controlled by its Board of Trustees & Advisors. The ICGS office team, all of whom have international experience, is comprised of experts from the fields of education & training management, marketing and communication.
